Frequently asked questions.

Everything you need to know about Workout Chat.

Using the AI

How does the AI understand my workouts?

Workout Chat uses Claude AI to parse natural language. You can type in any format — "bench 3x8 185lbs", "3 sets of 8 reps bench press at 185", or even "did some bench today, 3 sets of 8 at 185 pounds." The AI figures out the exercise, sets, reps, and weight from context.

Can I log multiple exercises at once?

Yes. Just describe your entire session in one message: "bench 3x8 at 185, OHP 3x10 at 95, tricep pushdowns 3x15 at 40." The AI will create all exercises under a single workout.

What if the AI logs something wrong?

Just tell it: "change the squat weight to 235" or "that was 5 sets not 3." The AI will update the record. You can also manually edit any workout from the workouts page.

Tracking

Does it support both metric and imperial?

Yes. Set your preferred unit system in your profile. The AI will use your preference by default, but you can log in either unit — just specify "60kg" or "135lbs" and it'll convert automatically.

Can I track bodyweight too?

Yes. Just say "I weigh 185 today" or "weigh-in: 84kg" and it'll be recorded. Your latest weight shows up on your dashboard.

Can it track injuries?

Yes. Just mention an injury in chat — "my left shoulder has been hurting since squats yesterday" — and it's logged automatically. You can check in on recovery over time ("shoulder is a 3/10 today, just mild tightness") and the AI tracks your trajectory and warns you before logging exercises that could aggravate it.

Platform & privacy

Is my data private?

Your workout data is stored securely and is only accessible to you. We don't sell your data or share it with third parties.

Is there a mobile app?

Workout Chat is a web app that works great on mobile browsers. No app store download required — just visit the site and start logging.
